After School Programs

Quincy has four after school citywide bands. Please speak with your band instructor regarding appropriate opportunities and registration requirements.

All-City Band

All-City Band is for 5th-graders, with 4th-graders invited as they gain proficiency. It meets in the Quincy High band room on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Buses are provided at each elementary school to bring students to rehearsal and back to their home school.

Middle School All-City Concert Band

Middle School band students can join the Middle School All-City Concert Band, which meets on half-day Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Central Middle School.

Honor Band

Honor Band is for especially motivated middle school and high school students, and is by invitation. Honor Band meets Wednesdays from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm in the Quincy High band room.

All-City Jazz Band

All-City Jazz Band meets at Atlantic Middle School on middle school half days from 12:45 pm to 2:00 pm.  Transportation is provided to the program but not from.  The instrumentation is saxophone, trumpet, and trombone and is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and students do not have to be band members at their schools to join.  It is also open to students who play rhythm sections instruments such as piano, guitar, drums, and bass.
